I did some reshaping of the stock, around the lock and fit the brass end cap so, it doesn't stick above the wood. I also did a lite browning of the lock as well as reshaped the trigger guard to give me some more knuckle room. I used some bone black and walnut stain then some danish oil.

I was going to trying it on a firearm once. The WATCO Danish Oil site says not for exterior use.

It can probably take a quickly wiped up spill, but not constant exposure to wet weather.
