I have what is believed to be a J. Armstrong Jr. caplock, circa 1855, wallhanger in need of some restoration work. The front trigger is broken off, all of the parts covered by the cover plate are missing, and some damage around the hole under the cover plate may need to be done. Pictures are attached. Can you suggest someone to, as a minimum, replace the broken trigger? Restoring to operating condition would be a plus.

Can't say that I can be of help, but best of luck! That's a cool piece even just as it is. Beautiful stock! I'm beginning a journey to restore a percussion long rifle myself, but regret to say I have no knowledge to help you with. Found this thread looking for advice on restoration myself. I see that you posted this awhile back; did you find a trigger fix?
