Reusing Cleaning Patches

That works for me, I was thinking along the lines of collecting belly button lint for smoothbore wadding. :grin:
 
I have the remains of a Robin's nest. maybe that could be used for wadding. Or, maybe for Bird's nest Soup (sorry, I crossed the line. That comment should have been in the Camp Cooking section.)
 
I actually thought about doing this with some square cleaning patches that I had from Hoppes. they were shotgun cleaning patches very thick and very nice.
Years ago I had knew a guy who did laundry in the back of his truck and called it his Rancher's washer. It was a milkcan with a clamp top. He'd put his clothes in there with soapy water and do his daily drivin around with it in the back of his truck. In the evening he's rinse it and hang it to dry. He swore by it.
I thought about this concept with those nice heavy Hoppes cleaning patches in ,say, a big coffe can or something
But, I must admit I have yet to try it
