Recently, I constructed a shooting bag from donated couch hide and many said "Good job!" However there was one compliment that came with a suggested change. Seems my choice of interior lining was more than a little off PC. I thought genuine mid 1800's floral upholstery and curtain fabric was as PC as could be. :hmm: :yakyak: :youcrazy:

Stumblin Wolf enlightened me -
Steve, good job on the bag! But I will say that the hawaiian flowerdy shirt lining GOTS TA GO!

:shocked2:

OK,OK! I submit the fabric isn't mid 1800's upholstery or curtain cloth or anything the like. It was a dumpster dive find! :rotf:

Ta-da! Ticking liner!

And I put a short starter sleeve above the strap hanger.

And... to offset the loss of my beloved "flowerdy Hawaiian print" I then attached some twisted fringe on the bottom and a bear claw as a flap weight for looks, style and substance.

Then I took it out SHOOTIN!!!!
