Very nice! I've seen Mitch's work firsthand at several shows. 38" is a nice barrel length for a hunting rifle.

What lock is that?

Mitch said it as 38", I show in my emails from Tip Curtis that it was supposed to be a .54 GM in C' weight, 42" long, swamped that I bought from him and had shipped to Mitch.

I dont remember but I am the one the ordered the shorter barrel.

That's a beautiful rifle. Where does it balance? It looks like the rear sight might be placed forward of the balance point? That would be good for older eyes.
 
I did have the rear sight moved as far forward as I could.

I only need to have glasses to see up close, so it is hard to see the rear sight and shoot.
