Hiking alone up Mt. Marcy in NY’s Adirondacks High Peaks 35 years back. Dead of winter, 4 feet snow, tried to camp on narrow patch just off trail. Lost my nerve, hiked back to car, headed into Lake Placid, ordered a pizza and started 5 hour drive home. You’d think after almost 2 days on a mountain any pizza would be great? I ate a bite and tossed it out the window in horror. Coming from NJ we have some pretty great pizza.

I love pizza and pineapple. Just not together. I find pineapple most appetizing when shrimp fajitas are involved.
