Bought a .36 Hatfield flint rifle yesteday. I see recommendations for both .350 & 375 roundballs. Isn't .375 pretty tight?

Probably take a hammer to load it. Go with a .350, .017 Pillow Ticking, 30 grains of Swiss 3F.

As already stated, use .350 round balls and (0.015~0.018") pillow ticking.

000 buckshot (sold in 5 lb boxes and approximately 500+ balls) is also .350 and is cheaper than purchasing round balls. I use them in my rifle.

Hey 2571, I've got a Hatfield in .36cal. I shoot .350rb and a .15p/t patch. About 35gr Goex 3f. Shoots great. Only change I made was in the flint. I changed to a T/C flint. Lots more spark. Good luck.
