We all know Roy Stroh's a good and talented guy, but I just got another look at how talented he is. These are pics of the fowler he built for me.

It's an English fowler with just a touch of French influence, as I requested. Walnut stock, Davis round face lock, 48" 14 bore barrel, and a whole lotta skill and care. I absolutely cannot wait to cradle this gorgeous work of art in my trembling arms!

Wanted to share it with y'all. Roy, if I've misstated anything, please correct me. And thanks for being a good man to work with, and a true artist.

Very nice and welcome to the club

Only problem is the lock is on the wrong side. :v

Who made the barrel?

Thank you everyone

I roughly copied it from a few guns in Neumann's Battle Weapons of the AR book.. Its an English commercial trade gun.

The barrel was made by Charles Burton of Flintlock Const. Inc.

Another outstanding gun Roy! Homesteader, you are going to love that gun. A great thing about Roy's guns is that each and every component and line has the same amount of attention to detail as the other ones do. Put together they truly are a masterpiece

Roy does make my barrels look real good!!
Very nice, thou I agree the lock is on the wrong side.

I like Roy's work the best, he gets the look down perfectly. You gotta love how far back the indentation for the wrist goes, totally balanced with the lines. It blends/compliments the triggerguard exactly.

Awesome Fowler Roy!

Congrats Homesteader!
A real beauty!

Don´t want to make much words - "Roy Stroh Gun" is meanwhile a compliment on it´s own IMHO.

Homesteader, from time to time I get over to the Stroh shop to visit with with Roy and Tom and get to see all of their latest creations. I got to look over you gun and it is splendid! The sideplate was not on nor was the gun engraved but from the pictures those elements seem to really complete the overall character of the gun. WOW! After already handling the gun I will bet you will be very pleased when you feel how it shoulders and carries. Congrats to you and Roy for another fine piece.
