I misplaced the nipple wrench that came with my blue Old Army. Midway has them, but they cost a lot with the minimum order fee, and shipping. What are my options. Thanks.

Think up some more stuff to order along with your new nipple wrench??? :hmm:
That's what I do when I order stuff from muzzleloading suppliers.

Ruger's OA nipples are a hex base. A thin walled, deep well socket might work, although it would have to be pretty thin. Take the cylinder down to the local auto parts or hardware store.

IIRC Snap-on and Mac Tools sockets will work also, Craftsman's walls are just a little too thick.

I have one of those screwdriver-type sockets that works great. Usually can find a cheap set in the Chinese tool bins at auto stores.

Thanks for all your help. A 3/16" nut driver is a whole lot easyer to use than the little bent wrench that I lost. I will propibly find it now that I don't want it.
