I recently acquired this from a collector and it's a nice revolver but not my cup of tea. I just prefer open tops.
I called Ruger and confirmed that it's a 1981 vintage. It has been fired but I doubt very much. There are two discolorations on the barrel that are probably old rust spots but otherwise not a mark on it. I have not removed the nipples as I don't have the proper wrench.
