strider i have read where in the old time shooting matches they shot into a block of wood and the winner won the block of wood as part of his prize so then he could recycle all the lead. last fall i started shooting into a block of wood plan on splitting pretty soon close to 150 balls in there. just remember to use something that splits easy. i use pine or cedar.
