If there are any collectors or interests in the Santa Barbara. There is a site dedicated to it. The site name is Projekt 1858 and/or Project 1858
Or I can post a link if allowed.

I have a question, has anyone tried to fit a Pietta or Uberti cylinder in them so maybe it will accept an unmentionable?

Yes, a Pietta cylinder fits good. An Uberti is too short. I've had three of them. I just sold two of them on here. I think one had a Pietta cylinder by the looks of the proof marks on the cylinder.

Isn't that a site devoted to converting the 1858 Remington to fire cartridges? If so we are not allowed to discuss them here.
