There is a new fake CCI website that is very well done. These guys are getting more clever. Offering caps at $7 a tin. So tempting. Does not use the normal Zelle or Venmo red flags.
I guess it would be too much for you to post a link, or at the least the name of this ‘new fake CCI website’? Might save some poor soul some grief. There is a new fake CCI website that is very well done. These guys are getting more clever. Offering caps at $7 a tin. So tempting. $7 a tin is believable when Walmart sells them for $5.65.The $7 a tin is a giveaway. If they would price them at just below gun show prices they would clean up!
Are there any aluminum can cap makers for musket caps these days?I laid into No. 10’s and No. 11’s over the past years when the good was going and have several thousands.
It’s musket caps I’m dangerously low on. These are like trying to locate a hen’s tooth in a haystack in the middle of a thunderstorm.
They probably just take your CC info and either sell it or use it themselves. I checked the whois info and it was registered on December 26, just last week. They can sell it to someone who will go out and buy expensive merchandise with it so they don't care about a charge back. They keep or fence whatever they buy with it and leave the CC company with the bill.It says they take credit cards, usually scammers don't. So, they get paid by the CC company and then you call your CC company and dispute the charge the CC credits you but the scammers still get paid? How else could they make money? The CC companies should cancel their account.
New website?Man what a nice site. Did my own digging around there. The phone is Apple Valley, California, the address is a private residence in Las Vegas, and the email is a weird xyz domain. The LLC was registered in May of 2023 in Nevada, and 2016 in Michigan. Whoever it is went to a lot of work to set it up.
A number of the scammers now use a known company name, like CCI or Hornady to pull in folks with money. Beware.
