This deal was the opposite. Victim posted a want to buy ad. Thief responded had one. Victim sent the money, thief ran. Number of posts do not help here.
Should have been "I want it".
Send it to me and if it's what I want and I like it, I'll send the $$$.
If I don't, I'll send it back and pay the postage both ways. Works both ways.
You can only be taken advantage of if you let it happen!! ;)

so whats the recourse?....nothing...
Could send a couple of GOONS to his front door to break both his &+@&% legs but that would be cruel and inhuman punishment. Sure would get the job done tho and put a "dent" in his armor. ;) (Can't say "C H I N K " in his armor cause that may be a racist remark?)
If it sounds TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, it probably is.

Sorry to hear that. I've did a lot of sales on eBay and gunbroker but they are pretty safe guarded. Sad there are low life's in the world like that.

I bought my ROA from a stranger on Armslist. Before sending the first USPS MO he sent a pic of his DL so I could make out the MO to him at that address. I checked on line, he had a business in that town with a good history with the Secretary of State, local tax records showed he paid taxes on the house at the address on the DL for almost 20 years. I sent $100, he mailed the cylinder, then I mailed the balance and received the revolver. I was nervous but I could not find any red flags. It worked out great! I knew it was a gamble.

Another time a guy sent a pic of an expired DL, pass....

This forum is a great location for us to buy, trade and or exchange, Sadly I piece of garbage like Alberto Gonzales slithers out from under a rock and shows his slimy self, and destroys our confidence in this wonderful forum.
The authorities must be able to help out in his location. With today's technology can we not foreclose on his banking institution, and or his residence, if that exists. And take legal action on his person. It would also be gratifying to have some muscle to educate him in his wayward ways.

Many of us frequent other firearms based forums. I suggest that those who do post this lowlife's details on those forums as well and warn others in the brotherhood about his scammer. There is strength in numbers.
