Ive done some reading but still confused on the difference in a 1728 french model army, 1728 st. Entienne, and a 1728 grenadier. Thanks

Not an expert. My smoothbore is a 1728 St. Entienne Rifle Shop kit. I chose them because I intended to use it for both live fire and blanks. The parts are good quality, I'd rather not comment on the company.
It's my understanding that the French Infantry firelock was made by three armorers in France. Charleville is the one most mentioned one, but they were all made from the same plans. I believe that there was a Marine model made with brass hardware and a shorter barrel.
