Went into an antique mall today to look for an inexpensive hand plane. Came out with a nice plane, a coping saw, and a puller for a total of $11 for all three. I think the puller is small enough to pull the cock off of a flintlock. The jaws are spring loaded.

the puller is used for removing cables from auto batteries. be sure to wash it good and oil down before using.

Don't let the secret out!!! Antique shops, second hand stores, and junk shops are a great source for tools and other things we use at reasonable price! Plus just plan fun to visit....loojack

I've been buying tools at antique shops for years they don't seem to place any value on tools they are too busy trying to market nic nacs and replica old stuff like furniture and clothing . When it comes to tools they are usually in a box or bucket somewhere in the corner or on the bottom shelf just waiting for us guys to discover.
