Woo hoo! As previously reported, a few of the local gun stores near me always call me whenever they have anything ‘black powder’ or non-centerfire. The new ‘black rifle’ shooter genereration knows NOTHING about BP arms.
To make a long story short, I ended up buying a brand NEW, in the box UNFIRED, old stock T/C 50-cal Hawken for $250 ca$h.
True to form, rather than flip it and make a healthy profit $$, one of my best friends Steve, aka ‘NJ Flinter’, and I will split the purchase price and donate it as a door prize to the Southern Vermont winter primitive muzzleloading biathlon. This is a MUST ATTEND event if you live in the Northeast!
To date, the 2 of us have donated 10 rifles so far as of this year. This is our way to give back to the sport that we love so much!
