Just picked up a T/C Seneca, never been fired 36 Cal. Payed a little over 300.00 but thought it was OK because of the condition and out of manufacturing status. Hope I did OK.

:hatsoff: I bought a senica a little over a year ago for $180 and wouldnt ever sell it you did well :applause:

You did fine! Same thing I paid for mine about 7 years ago. Consider yourself one lucky guy. You've got one of the nicest little guns T/C ever made.

Don't bother with the heavy loads in the T/C manual or with the .018 pillow ticking patches. You'll just risk breaking your ramrod (like I did  ). Mine loads and shoots like a charm with .350 RB, .010 lubed OX-Yoke patch and 20 grains of Pyrodex P. Can shoot all afternoon without cleaning and the thing stays deadly accurate and easy to load. Everything's hunky-dory with powder charges between 15 and 25 grains of Pyrodex P. More than that and fouling builds up and loading becomes a chore. I use a 5/16" wooden dowel rod with a file handle glued on the end as a range rod. With .010 patches, it's all you need.

Like NYHunter said; I'll never sell mine.

I have a Seneca in .45 caliber that I will never sell. I picked it up for $200.00 and found it to be in new condition. This has become my favorite plinking/walking around with gun. Planning on having a .32 caliber barrel made up by Fox Ridge soon and it may then take my .36 underhammers place as my squirrel gun. Fox Ridge assures me they can make any caliber barrel you want, within reason, for a Seneca. Enjoy and take care, CJ.
