anybody going down to friendship in a couple of weeks? i'll be there on the thursday the 16th just for the day though. be there after the long range match at atterbury on the 14th/15th. i'll be the tiny red pup tent in six acre.

On the 16th they're having a special shoot to honor Fess Parker at the Primitive Range, details are at the blockhouse.
Going to make it down as many days as I can.

Well dagnabbit; i'm leavin tonight for colorado elk season. Won't make the rondy. I grew up with Fess on TV. I do however, have a bottle of his excellent wine i'm takin along to honor his spirit on the mountain. Here's to ya Fess.

I went over yesterday afternoon. First time I'd ever been and I can say it was well worth the trip.

My wife and I took our kids over and just walked around, looking through the shops and around the flea markets. It was a great time with lots of great people. Some of the rifles running around there were amazing and made me wish I didn't live in the poor house already, or I would have ended up there before the day was over! :hmm:

Best part about it was hearing the pop of the rifles from the ranges and smelling burning powder in the air. I'm still thinking about those cinimon roasted cashews... :surrender:

like i said i'm heading down wednesday afternoon once the long range match is over. i'll probably shoot the tradegun match on thursday (never shot that before any tell me what too expect?) the minicreedmore and check out the chunkgun match and oh yeah, shop a little too.
