FOR SALE Set of HC Short Starter and Turn Screw

Now that I am in our winter home and have survived my first hurricane, I was able to make a nice set of “tools”. Not having a wood lathe here last year, Grizzly had a sale so I bought one for my hobby stuff to use here.
This set is dark stained curly maple. Starter has 3/8” brass rod tapped 10-32 to add accessories if desired. The turn screw’s blade is 1095 steel, hardened then drawn. I am asking $35 shipped. PP, MO, CHECK, or $$ happily accepted.

Is the palm pusher pinned in place?

Yes. The wood is pinned to the brass rod.

The starters are awesome, super durable. I have one for my 40, and another that I use with my 54, 58 and 62 cals.

How does one short start the ball with one of these? It seems to lack the nub on standard starters? Doesn't look usable for those who cut at the muzzle?

my kids just turn theirs over and smack it flush then cut and then start the ones i make are similar to this one NOT TRYING TO HIJACK POST

Tap on it with your palm to get it started just below the crown of the muzzle, cut the patch, then put the starter back in and push the ball down the full length of the starter. I have a wooden primitive style starter I bought 20 years or so ago at a Revolutionary War reenactment and have used it that way since.
