Got an e-mail asking how I made the sewing kit that's in the flint and tool wallet on another thread. Got 2 pieces of brass tubing from Ace, one size that would just fit inside the other. Soldered the smaller to the larger to make a neck for the top to slide on. Then with flat stock cut the two ends and soldered them on. Then with a smaller tube of brass I soldered five washers I made from brass flat stock on this tube to wrap the different sizes of thread. This would fit snugly inside the larger tube. Wrapped the linen thread on the smaller tube and the needles fit inside the smaller tube. Hope this is clear.

I know this is not PC/HC. So I pictured another sewing kit that I made that's PC. For this one I boiled a peace of cow horn and clamped it to dry flat. Then sanded it thin, filed the groves in it wrapped the thread and slid the needled in.

Hope this is all clear enough.
