Over the past 40+ years I have bought, sold and traded firearms, but these are the black powder pistols I have at the moment. I just wish I could find more time to enjoy them. Maybe in a couple of years when I retire. Anyway, if you have some to share, show them off.

i love these picture sharing spots but now the robbers and crooks know what you have and where to find it. i would never do this but would like to. too many crooks out their looking at sites like this.

Well, if they can get past my dog, my overboard alarm system (my son in law works for an alarm company), my locked vault room and the safe inside - not to mention the shotgun I keep stowed away high enough that only my arms can reach, they're more than welcome to them. ;)

griffiga, you have a nice assortment of pistols and revolvers there! Thanks for sharing. I don't have much to show in the way of black powder handguns... A 1970's vintage Colt '51 Navy, a Uberti 1st Model Dragoon, and a Lyman Plains Pistol. I haven't photographed the ones I have, but stock photos are pretty easy to find.

In your picture, I think I'm seeing a CVA/Traditions Trapper and a T/C Patriot in the upper left. I've never seen a side-by-side comparison of these two pistols. They have very similar appointments, but you can really appreciate the differences in their geometry from the photo. Very interesting.

Thanks Bob, yes you are correct on the two pistols. The TC Patriot is definitely a bit smaller and sleeker. Of the two, I like it the best but so does my wife. My favorite shooter is the LePage, it's insane how accurate it is. My two brother in laws coaxed me into a shooting competition with them. They were shooting Sig Sauers and Smith & Wessons, but it was no contest, I smoked them badly. They couldn't believe I toasted them with such antiquity. Unfortunatly they haven't invited me to shoot with them since.

I think perhaps you are giving the thief too much credit. And, I'm thinking most of the people here would not be such easy victims.

Dang, I'm busted. If any of you ever get out this way, give me a holler. You know where I live, and we'll go chase some crooks and robbers! Well, at least we can go pop a cap or two or flash a pan. I have several pounds of powder just waiting to be used.
 
I’m a newbie on the forum and haven’t been serious about sport shooting since the 1970s. You can do the math! Recently got charged up on black powder reading a few books about the Civil War and have been looking for a 1851 Colt Navy (replica). Found an unused, beautiful 1851 Navy US Grant Commemorative and received it today. Looking forward to the range soon! Have learned here on the forum and enjoy the expertise!

Nice pistol MysteriousSmith, pretty soon you’ll have to get you a rifled musket to go along with it, they are a ton of fun as well. By the way, what Civil war books are you reading? I’ve been into re-enacting the Civil and Revolutionary wars for 30 years and have accumulated way too much stuff.
