Found out last week I was drawn for Shawnee State Forest in OH for a late Oct antlerless permit. Anybody else going to be there?

David

Dave,
Won't be there, but I have hunted the
area in and around Scioto County several times.
It's not the easiest part of the state to hunt,
but there are plenty of dear. You will be there
around the start of the rut or shortly after the
start.Remember antlers are a :nono:, no matter
how stupid they are. :rotf:
Good luck! You may want to go back on
Nov. 27th. Can't wait....
snake-eyes :hatsoff:

I saw 12 standing in field on the North edge of the park last weekend only two had racks. The bucks were way back in the corner while the does and fawns were down close to the road.
I came in on SR73 and turned onto 373 or 353 or something like that (can't remember the number), anyway it turns into State Forest road #1 after going about 1 mile, that goes down through the forest. There are a lot of deer in the forest now.

Regards, Dave

Thanks for the info guys! Need to put in for a few days off work to enjoy the season. Maybe I'll bring my recurve and poke around the SE portion of the state a bit if I tag out early. Mostly stay here in the Cincitucky section.
