Shipping a ML rifle to Illinois...........

When shipping a ML rifle does it have to go through an FFL dealer if its being shipped to Illinois? I know they have some strict gun laws.

Very strict. Hopefully one of the Illini will jump in but from what I have read all firearms must go through an FFL. But I don’t live there and would not.

I recently read that the below are states and district that require shipping to an FFL. However, I believe that Illinois was a bit of a patchwork based on local governance.

You could go on gunbroker and get contact information for some Illinois FFL holders and maybe talk to FFLs in your state.

New Jersey

Illinois

Washington D.C.

New York (Entire State)

Ohio (Pistol or Revolver Orders)

When I lived there you could still get them delivered to your house. It wasn't as communist in them days.
