I have not been able to find an affordable smoothbore yet and I have been shooting #9 shot out of my Kentucky Rifle .45 to bust clays.
Works fine. I got the idea to try this since my Raging Judge Magnum shoots both .454 Casul and .410 shotshell.
I was just looking for some feedback from other people... Good or Bad.
I am loading with 50 grain BP. One inch thick paper cushion (paper towel). 220 grains #9 chilled shot. Half inch of paper towel over the shot. #10 cap as primer.
The barrel is thick enough so that I could load with 12 gauge loads... but I find shooting .410 loads more challenging since there is less shot to hit the target.
