Law enforcement did some experimenting with wood round balls fired from a 12 ga. shotgun for use in riot control back in the 1970's. Supposed to be non-lethal, but if a wood ball hit someone in the head - oh well. Hard rubber balls were found to work better, although it could still be lethal if hit in the head.
I've been out of that business for so long that I no longer know what they use today. Bean bags, maybe?

Ya, you hafta make sure the marble is small enough to fit all the way down the barrel. I would also use a patch or the glass could tear up your barrel.

That's what happens when I didn't measure those marbles....!! LOL

Here I have some east german AK rounds that are plastic jacket wood bullets that the idea I get is they where riot control rounds. 30 feet they group like bird shot too.
