I have made a lot of these. They seem to have a historical presence in the early 1800s. This one is walnut with a 3/8” (.375”) brass rod which has been drilled and tapped 10-32. I will ship to you for $18.50.

Yes, I use a 1/4” brass rod (.25”). Here is one in cherry, but I can make one of other wood.
The 1/4” one next to the 3/8” walnut I have listed above.
Forgot to include the required security info. The walnut starter is still available as are any that you might want made up. Have maple, ash, hickory, cherry, oak plus 1/4”, 5/16”, 3/8”, and 1/2” brass for rods.
