Stopped in an antique shop in Livingston Illinois a week ago and there were two original 1860 Colt's pistols. One was the traditional barrel, and the other looked to be about 5 or 5.5 inches. The cut appeared professional and the tarnish made it look as it it had been done a "long" time ago. These were not pristine guns and looked as if they'd had a hard life. Not worth the price, but interesting, none-the-less.

Man finding two originals is a rare find. Do you mind saying what they were priced at? Did the short barreled one look as issue with the load lever and all? Geo. T.

Had the loading lever. Didn't even look at the prices as they would be higher than I would spend. Sorry. If you're interested, the place is called the "Pink Elephant Antiques" Livingston Il.
