This is an interesting rifle I have coming in. It is a Jack Garner .54 Virginia rifle in percussion and with a 32" barrel. To me, this seems the perfect repurposed eastern longrifle shortened and converted for use as a saddle gun on the plains or in the Rocky Mountains. I will post my own photos when I have it in hand. Thoughts?

It's what I would call a sensible hunting rifle. It's pretty much along the lines of what I like to build except that I've gone to single triggers. I base mine on what looks good to me, my theory being that whatever I do was probably done in the past. I like it!
