Did a quick little project the other day and made a shot ball pouch out of some 8-9oz scrap leather I had laying around. I’ve always wanted one of these “hard“ formed pouches. I didn’t have any sand to pack it with so I used compressed air to “inflate“ the completely wetted pouch. It worked perfectly and also dried the pouch in place. I doubt I could of done any better with packing it with sand. Stained with Fiebings medium brown dye. Used a tip of elk antler I had laying around for a plug. Filled with #6 shot! Can’t wait to take it in the field/woods.

Is that deer antler you used for a washer on your lace strap.

Yes, it’s either deer or elk, probably elk as they come from the pet store (dog chew toys) I use for other projects and have a lot of tips left over. Works great as a reinforcement washer/accent.
I use use thick leather ,never thought of using antler before just used it for buttons.I’m gonna use it for washers from now on ,it’s nice to get other ideas from fellow craftsmen thankyou .What did you use to punch the holes in your leather.
