The Chrony costs less than $100.00, and I believe it pays for itself in the data you get from it that saves you hours of time, and a considerable amount of money on powder, patches and ball, or shot. Once you have your MV for shot loads, so that you know what is the most efficient combinations of wads to use for a given powder charge and shot load, you can dispense with the chronograph, and use a patterning board to find good patterns.

T/C smoothbore and 28 ga. over the powder cards seem to work OK but those thin over the shot cards are not quite tight enough. If I point the barrel down it moves a little causing a gap. A over the powder card seem to hold though but I havent tested enough to see if it will effect the pattern. THANKS for any info. ADC Trapper
A 9/16" srch punch will turn out a wad or card 0.5625" in diameter. :wink:
