Shot new virginia rifle today.

The 25 yard target was with 60 grains of 3 F . 530 round ball would not group. 535 was on the money. 75 yard target was 85 grains of 3F. wind was about 5 to 8mph right to left causing drift to left on target. bottom holes 3 shots top hole 2 shots

I sight in for 85 yards hunting....just incase I need to stretch out to 100.
Its the last 20 yards where the ball arc really curves.
Pictures would be nice..I enjoy drooling on my keyboard. :grin:

Yep, we do to say see some pictures. Its no fair to say "hey look how well my NEW rifle shoots" without some pictures of it. I too like to see new rifles, did you make it yourself?

I remember the thread where you posted the pictures, however they are no longer available. When you delete or change pictures off of your web hosting site, it deletes them everywhere they have been posted.

So like everyone says please put them back because we all enjoy pictures we can be jealous about.

Very good. Thanks for sharing some photos with us. Looks like a very nice rifle. Was it one you had made or did you do the work yourself?

Rifle was made by Ross Westgate. 54 cal,42 inch Rayl barrel, swamped, Siler lock. set triggers.
I will continue to work with it this week. Got up to 85 grains of 3 F. But after 3 or 4 hours of shooting I was getting beat up enough to call it quits for the day..
