I wanted to try shooting shot in the Brown Bess Carbine I purchased recently. Seems like shot has been sold out here in Fairbanks, AK since I started looking for it. Is there a national run on shot now, or is this just a local phenomena?

Must be local - there is plenty of shot available in Georgia - but price is normally @ $55/25 lb bag.
Good to know. Thanks. Hopefully some will show up again on the shelves here. If I have to pay shipping the price will probably double. I could always harvest a few unmentionable shells for shot in a pinch. Raining sideways here now so probably not a good day for a newbie to play with a flintlock anyway.
