Manish - since it appears to me that you are getting no help at all from your buddies in your gun club, here is my suggestion to you.

Get yourself in your car on sunday morning, with your pistol and supplies AND your FAC, and come over to OUR range. I'll spend as long as it takes to get you shooting right.

Email me for details if you need them.

We start at 9:30 on the dot.

I doubt that at 25 yards a change of powder charge will result in moving the point of impact that much. The powder charge controls speed and spin which can influence the accuracy. Get the pistol shooting the best possible groups- once that has been accomplished then change the sights to get the pistol shooting on target. But first- get the most accurate load.

Can you bench the pistol to establish your point of aim and proper sight picture?

I'm just sayin :idunno:

Work up a load from the bench, adjust sights, learn how to shoot off hand.

just got back from the gun club. there on target and in the black now. still abit spread out but in the black. the club BP guru was in tonight and gave me a few pointers and sorted. reducing the load did help and he mentioned i might want to lower it abit more!!

18-20gr of 3Fg Swiss should be somewhere up at the top load, according to a top UK BP pistol shooter, writing in Target Sports back in 2008.

That's only around 15gr of Triple 7 - just need the ball put down firmly on the powder - NOT crushed. And use hot caps from RWS as well.

Good luck.

I too have a Charles Moore Pedersoli. That gun is a heck of a shooter, but it's not an easy gun to master. When I got mine, the set trigger didn't work at all. After consulting with Zonie and others, we backed out the sear screw a bit and it started to work, but was always finicky. 1/4 turn and it wouldn't catch, 1/2 half turn and it wouldn't fire. Then I started having misfires, uneven firings and hangfires. Found that it had a Patent breech with the front hole to the breech at less than 1/32nd diameter. The small hole leading into the breech got dirty after every 5 to 10 shots. I got some suggestions on how to keep it clean, but couldn't practically do it on the rendezvous courses that I shot, so I'd hit 10 or so targets successfully, and then miss one. I'd then have to sit out and remove the vent liner and clean with a pipe cleaner and alcohol before I went on.

When I got the pistol, I didn't like the front sight. I made a new one, and solved the problem.

When it was shooting well, this pistol was the most accurate pistol that I owned, but after 5 to 10 shots, I wanted to throw it away.
