I have been contemplating the procurement of a Smoothbore, and many keep saying NorthStar West. The (2) Smoothes they make that interest me the most are the Early English, and the Chief Grade.

If any of you own either, and have pictures of your personal NorthStar West Smoothie. please post a photo or two, and if you built it or it was bought built.

Appreciated.

I don't have either of those models, I have the officers fusil. Despite my poor build of the kit (don't even ask for pictures) it is one of the best guns I own for reliability and overall toughness. I haven't shot it in a while so I'm sure my accuracy will be off but back when I was shooting it regularly I could keep up with rifles in accuaracy at shorter distances. North Star West's customer service is the absolute best to. You won't be disappointed.

My pics are not worth showing. I have the early english, full length and a sister pistol w/ a 12" barrel, both in 24ga(.58). I got both from a guy who used to build (from kits) for NSW, until he got creative and was "let go". These guns are slimmed waaay down, almost like a fine rifle. - LIKE'UM!!!! I shoot 50gr 3f & patched .562 balls or .570s &1/2 fiber wad under & over. Oddly the pistol shoots best w/ 30gr 3f and denim patched .530 balls. Bill

Thanks for the post. I to have been looking at the NSW english guns, among other companys.
I talked to the owner a few days ago, he said they were updating their site in a few weeks.
Any way he seemed like a nice fella, answered all my questions and then some.

Thanks for the pictures Swamp Rat.
