Does any one know of any one who makes a side by side smothbore in flintlock? I know perdersoli makes a side by side cap lock smothbore. But am really wanting a flintlock.

You might keep an eye on Track of The Wolf. Sometimes they will have one on their web site.

i looked everywhere on the net, when you find one they are $$WOW$$$$

Yup, there's a reason for that. On occasion you see one for as little as $1500-$2000, but there's a reason for that too.

I've always wanted to build myself a side by side, but then I would think about just what all is involved....and then I would decide against it!!! Soldering barrels, bending, regulating, the whole bit....it's a pretty serious affair.

Geez Chris, fresh on the heels of your Prussian musket lock triplet adventure, a flint sxs would be a relaxing walk in the park

Well since I spent 2000.00 on my custome made smothbore i figerd Ill have to pay 4000.00 to 5000.00 for a desent side by side flintlock.

If some astute mechanical design engineer comes up with an easily mass produced rock lock SxS of quality and moderately priced, he could be well on his way to semi wealth and considerable ML fame.

Hi there, I'm looking down that road myself. Yes occasionally one turns up at TOTW. But you could do what I'm going to do and take a Perc barrel and using a tutorial I found on this site, turn up a new set of breech plugs for flint. Alternatively you could contact CHUCK, email:- [email protected] and he might sell you a complete shotgun kit (if he's still doing them that is). Happy shooting.
