I recently purchased a side by side 12 which I absolutely love!! however id like to find a 12 gauge sidexside with cylander bores. brand not important a CVA is fine cosmetically it can have scratches worn bluing etc. the main things the bores in decent shape and the locks work and no issues with nipples being stuck or no busted stock. my reasoning is I want to shoot patched roundballs out of it. my shotgun I have now is between full and extra full and am told its not best to shoot a roundball out of. ive got 2 gun cabinets full of muzzleloaders ive bought with most coming off of this sight so I have things to trade and have some money as well. I just need something that will shoot accurate enough to 15-20 yards. I do have a pedersoli Kodiak double 72 but at 12 lbs its not what I want to carry in a thicket after wounded hogs. hit me up with a message on here and we will see if we can make a deal thank you all in advance

Howie, don't limit yourself... a 20 ga. side by side would serve you almost as well.
The .600 RB @ 325 grains from a 20 ga. smooth bore is very formidable!
Just a thought...

I have a Pedersoli 12 ga sxs with AAA wood stock I would like to sell. Probably not what you're looking for.

I have 2 maybe 3 sxs in 12 bore with cyl x cyl chokes for sale. Am going to a shoot in Arkansas this weekend to sell some. Dont have time to list them now. May even have an old 80's model CVA 12 Bore new in the box kit shotgun.

I have a Navy Arms double with 2 sets of barrels, 28" Mod and Full, 18" cylinder bore. Both locks rebuilt with some new parts, triggers attended to. E-mail for pics and price. Shipped in newer travel case. Randy [email protected]

Early Navy Arms SxS were made by Pietta, latest ones made by Pedersoli. I have an early Pietta gun, very well made except for the bridles made of cheap alloy. I made a new one for the left lock when it broke, one of these days will make one for the right before it breaks. Strange, because right locks usually show more wear since they're shot more often.

Ok thanks, I’ve been looking for an enfield or Zouave for a while. I don’t live to far from you. Good luck on finding that side x side.

I live 35 miles west of Texarkana, little town of DeKalb, tx. I think it’s about 160 miles from Lufkin.

I've deer hunted in DeKalb back in the 80s. The stone cabin had a pipe with a cap coming out of the wall above a sink. To get water you unscrewed the cap and spring water trickled in.
And i thought I grew up COUNTRY!

The guy who took us there said not to hunt too far East or we'd be in Louisiana.

Stan, interested in an original 3-band Enfield? Mine was made by Joseph Wilson in Birmingham, England and his stamp and name are on all parts, it's a match. Chrome plated after the War for parade use. E-mail me at [email protected] for pics. P-53 3-Band Enfield Randy

Hi,
If you are still looking for a fine double, I have one, it is an original W. Bond, from Thetford, England.
There is fine engravings on the locks and trigger guard.
The stock is fine European walnut, with well executed checkering on the wrist and forearm.
Barrels are Damascus. There is no pitting or rust.
This NOT a CVA type of gun.
The locks are amazingly fine in operation.

Mr Ford, something that beautiful I probably wouldn't want to take it through the briars thorns and snake infested creeks of East texas. I need something just mechanically sound no rust or pits in bore no cracks in the stock locks make the cap poip. bluing can be scratched or very little wood can be scratched just no cracks and cylinderxcylander just something weighs less then my pedersoli Kodiak 72 that will shoot a big patched roundball for when I have to look for a wounded hog. I just want the biggest ball I can shoot if need be prefer 12 gauge but now opening the door for 20 gauge
