I think it was last month I read someone was having trouble seeing their front sight in the woods. I was having the same problem shooting targets, my black sight would get lost in the bullseye. (I know, I should shoot 6 o'clock on bulls eye targets but I'm not good at it yet). Anyway, a buddy of mine came up with something interesting I thought I would share with the group. It a sight with a fiber optic insert. He get it front Brownells and it's the smallest size available. He drills through the sight, mills out 2 areas, insert the fiber, and melts both ends. Melting the ends is important because it covers up the upper part of the sight, so when you look at the target you don't see a orange dot beneath the top of the sight. I used it yesterday for the first time and after I got my rifle re-sighted in, it was great. I placed in 6 of the 10 matches and brought home a sack of stuff, anyway thought I would share. For those of you that have to much time on your hands, try it, you might like it.
