If a bore is crooked and cut on a curve or spiral, a perfectly cut flat crown will not be square with the bore axis. I believe this is the reason crooked but muzzle/breech centered bores shoot wide of sight center

I have been trying to visualize what you are trying to say there. :idunno: No offense, it might be a perception problem, not an explaining problem. I'm just bumfuzzled at what you are trying to say.

I think it makes sense. If the barrel is cut perpendicular to the outside, but the inside is not parallel to the outside, then the crown won't be perpendicular to the axis of the bore.

2 Tall, is there a serial # of the Gpr Barrels that are drilled crooked?? I think I have one of the bad barrels???

You got it! They can be bored on a slight spiral as well as a curve. This can be a safety concern if one has to cut a dovetail mid barrel for wedge tenons or sights and the curved bore comes near the outside contour or flat. MD

I will have to look for paperwork with the old serial number for the barrel. As soon as I gave them the serial number for the barrel they gave me no crap about it so they must be aware they have a bad batch out there. Just call them up they have English operators as well. It took about 3-4 weeks to get the barrel back once it was sent off. Just make sure you strip the barrel first sights, rib and thimbles. Good luck
