silicone based lube

I am doing a search now, but I will throw this out there. Has anyone tried a silicone based lube, something similar to "Armor All"? I don't wanna create any contensions here about straying to far from traditional shooting, but I am just curious. :hmm:

I have wondered about teflon coating bullets....I know it MIGHT not be considered PC but would it be good? :hmm:

You can't use that in a barrel as it will turn into something like sand after you shoot it. Been there, done it. After cleaning a barrel years ago I lubed it with silicone. After the first shot the next match you couldn't even load the gun. It was like it was full of dirt or something. Not sure what the deal is. I do remember that some of the old timers at that time said that it wouldn't work.
