Couldn't hold back. Some of you are probably sick of seeing my posts and questions by now but:

Mid afternoon the dogs started raising Cain. Wife checked & UPS was just pulling away. She came in (I think small thunderheads were starting to form over her head) and said "there's a big box on the front porch". "I didn't bring it in". I looked and there's no mistaking it's a rifle shipping box. I have a rifle ordered but it won't be here for a few days (I only sent the M.O. this morning). I bring it in saying "I didn't order this". (Sure Ron). "Honest honey I didn't order ANYTHING from CVA". (Sure Ron). I open the box and look at the rifle (naturally). My wife is looking at the box and enclosed paperwork (Naturally). The box says on the side "Web Contest Winner". The paperwork says "Contest Winner".

It's a CVA "Kodiak", inline, .45 cal., Syn. Stock, Blue Bbl., 209 Primer. I, given a choice would have taken a side hammer. At risk of alienating half the forum may I say that for "Free" it looks pretty darned good. Of course I'm stunned becase the only thing I ever won of value is my wife.:: ::

Congratulations!

I'm the same way... never won anything worth anything other than my family.

Sell that sucker and gitcha another nice sidelock! :redthumb:

Got this back from CVA on my thank you note.

Thank you and good luck with your new Kodiak. It was named Muzzleloader of the Year for 2004 by the American Rifleman magazine. It should perform outstandingly for you.
