Has anyone built a Sitting Fox kit before, They have an earlylancaster kit in steel with premier wood, and a swamped barrel for 799.00. This is cheaper then the Jim Chambers Kit and comes in the steel that i like. Just wondering what anyones experience with this kit is. Just wished the Chambers kit can in steel and not brass, and it doesn't make since to replace the brass from the Chambers kit with steel econonmically that it.

Probably ever vender has a kit cheaper than Chambers..... Few if any will have one better in quality or as HC/PC, if that be a concern.

If you want a Lancaster in iron, check also with Tip Curtis Frontier Shop (615)654-4445, Dunlap Woodcrafts, Knob Mountain Muzzleloading.

Tip will have the largest assortment of patterns & the largest inventory of iron trim for a rifle. Unfortunately he doesn't have online shopping. I have built ? probably 35 rifles from parts from Tip & always had good success with dealing with him.

Dunlaps will have the best wood for the $. About half the venders buy their wood from Dunlaps. He is the largest stock dealer in the USA.
