The wife and I went to try our hand a skeet shooting with our trade guns 28Ga. 60grs.ffg,same measure of #8shot. Wife 7 out of 25, Me 8 out of 25

Keep shooting those clay birds with that trade gun and you will be ready for Friendship. If you have not been yet, there are plenty of opportunities to shoot clay birds there. Give Shaw's Quail Walk a try. It is a hoot.

Hope to see you and the wife in Friendship this September

My wife and I shoot and camp at Friendship over on primitive ask for Butch & Sharon.
We shot the Quail one time and we will be back agian if the creek don't rise.

i'm back shooting skeet with a muzzle loader, and it is very doable, if you don't need to run 100 straight. Keep at it, and your scores will go up! (It's not like I'm shooting a much higher percentage.)

With 28gauge, I would (respectfully) suggest 8.5 shot, readily available from Ballistic Products. Denser skeet pattern. 8's will work at Trap.
