Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
That's what I use. A simple stud on the underrib would appear easier, but I can't picture how it would work without interfering with the ramrod. I have a TC with one that screws onto the thimble, and that's fine as long as the screw doesn't back out. I have a custom with a stud brazed onto one of the pipes, and that's probably cleanest of all.
i dropped the rifle and mashhed the thimbles. i did not have a rod in it. it is and old gun. the new ones come with a provition for another tmible and stud. i had called them thinking it was a wrong part. they did not state or know of a manuf.
