small game hunting with blanket gun.

Does anybody do it? I would like to try my newly finished 12ga 14" barreled percussion blanket gun on critters. I don't expect to get much range out of it, maybe yardage of rabbit. What Say?

I had one of those years ago. It may work with the skychief load now, didn’t have much of a tight pattern except up close.try it with the skychief load and tell us how it works. Oh, and hang on to it.....

Get it to shoot a low velocity ball?

Do the tin can test. Load a load and shoot a steel food can at your range. If you get a hole through the can it’s got enough umph.
Next what can you hit, make a target about 4” in diameter. That’s about the size of a bunny on the run from you. How far back can you get a pattern in that circle enough to get a kill?
Thats your range.
