Here are the lost emails.
First email received after the rifle was looked at and handled at Dixons.
Hello,

On the last day of the Gunmakers Fair at Dixon's I was looking at a rifle you had for sale. It was light stained with with lots of striping in the stock, brass hardware and double set trigger. The tag said 13/40/42. I believe the price was $1200. Do you still have it? If so, could you send some pictures?

Thanks,

Mike Lukachek

I then sent pictures to make sure of which rifle, since there were 2 of the same style.

Hi Kevin,
A loose frizzen isn't anything to worry about. Actually it is better than it being too stiff. As long as you don't have a problem with ignition, it is fine. Let us know if anything develops that is a problem.
Thank you,
Matt

Hello TVM,

Received the .40 cal Southern with premium maple yesterday. Today I had a chance to unpack it and take a look. Beautiful gun, even nicer than I remember when I saw it the the Gunmakers Fair at Dixon's. Your reputation is well deserved!

I did notice one thing that I would like your opinion on. The frizzen seems loose. It twists and wobbles back and forth. The width is a bit narrow at the pivot point and the pivot screw hole is a bit large. There does not appear to be an issue with it's operation and throws a nice spark. On my other rifle by a semi-custom maker, the frizzen is much tighter with smooth operation. Do you think this is something I should worry about?

Thanks again for a very nice gun. Can't wait to make some smoke with it.

Hello TVM,

Thank you for the comments, Barbie. I am sure many members will be shocked to learn that you are a member of this forum, or follow it at all, considering your busy days. I don't hesitate to recommend Chambers locks to any prospective builder, provided your company sells a lock that is of the style the builder desires. I have a large Chamber's lock on my fowler, and love it! :hatsoff:

The comments you have made about TVM are terrible. This should have been handled between you and TVM not on this forum. I have never found anyone that is more caring about doing their customers right than TVM. You have let your lack of knowledge and anger get out of control. I think you should offer these fine folks, a very well thought out, "I am sorry". :hmm:

I am locking this thread. The problem was presented and several great options were presented - including those from the lock manufacturer.

While it is the practice of the forum to allow members to speak their mind freely there is also the responsibility of members to keep some civility in mind and their emotions in check.
