my chambers 16 gauge swamped barrel shoots best with 70 grains 2fg goex, it chronos at 1000fps with 400 grain round ball. the balistitics are muzzel me 888.... 5o yards 0 elevation 910fps, 736 me,1.4 windage at 10 mph crosswind.....70 yards 882 fps, 691 me,el -2.5,windage 2.6 in 10mph crosswind.... 100 yards mv 843, me 631,,el -9.7, crosswind 5.1.... i shot her at fresshly painted gongs thursday first three rounds offhand at 50 yards gong were 5 1/4 inches,, 70 yards she put pretty impressive welts poking out the back of 1/4 inch plate, probably cold rolled steel... there are lots of free balistic programs on the net, if no-one answeres on the 20, email me at [email protected] and we can work up some ballistics for the 20 using fadaldas muzzel velocity.. what max velocity may be may not be the same as accurate velocity.. maybee someone will give their pet load and we can figure out what velocity that would be from fadaldas book, then get you compete balistics from my friends free program.. ive got to go to work now, but can help you tonight or tomorrow.. dave..

fadalda shows optimum loads to be 70 grains ffg at 1013 fps and 90 grains ffg at 1369 fps in green river 20 gauge gun... im suspecting best accuracy will be in the 1013 fps range.. and with no help from 20 ga shooters this is the best i can do. first i go to .. http://www.uslink.net/~tom1/calcbc/calcbc.htm#calculator .. click balilistic coef calculator and follow the balistic coeficeint prompts to the input screen, click on round ball, click on cast bullet, and enter .600 caliber and click on calculate, this gives us a weight of 325 grains and bal cof of .085.. then go to .. http://www.beartoothbullets.com/ .. and click on balistians corner, then go to external ballistics,... i would then put in 1015 fps,, chronograph 0,, bullet weight 325, sight height .75,, zero 50 yards,,minimum range 0,, max range 100 yards,, range increments 25 yards,,put in your elevation of your hunting area, i used 4500 feet..,, click on standard elevation for altitude and calculate.. your mv at 0 25 50 75 and 100 is 1015, 960, 915, 848, 844... foot poounds is 743, 655,606,556,514.. elevation is -.8, .8, 0, -3.4,, -9.6.. crosswind with 10 mph , is 0, .4,, 1.5,, 3.2, and 5.5... if you wish you can then go to thornally stopping power on the beartooth balistic corner page and enter .600 cal, 915 feet per second, 325 grains.. this will give you a thornally stopping power of 99 which shows this load is good for deer and black bear at 50 yards... hope this helps,, dave.
