Looking for a smoothbore/shotgun barrel, any gauge. Let me know if you have one laying around collecting dust.

Thanks,

I have a Savage 12 gauge single shot barrel (possibly from a 220 or 94) that I would sell. 28" barrel, no rust or damage. Bead front sight.
$100 shipped.

I have a 31" swamped octagon barrel made by Rice. Dovetails cut for front site and stock pins. 20 ga. Has a plug which will need fitting and shaping. very nice finish on this one.

Sorry, I should have clarified I am looking for a muzzle loading barrel.

I appreciate your response.

Don't have such, but, have you considered black powder adapters - for use in modern guns.

For front stuffing a 209 muzzle loading adapter is available – in 12, 20 and .410ga/bore. It fits into the breech, load BP & Shot/Ball from muzzle, poke a 209 primer in adapter and voila a muzzle loading shotgun.

The other is a black powder reloadable shell – I’ve seen this in only 12 ga, but others may be out there. It’s a steel case designed to fit into the shotgun, that you load a prime separately. You can carry multiple rounds this way.

Realize that purists will poo-poo such, but it’s a way to get into black powder shotgunning, inexpensively.

Hey oldvet67to89,

Thanks for the reply. I am looking to build a more traditional muzzleloading shotgun. But your idea of a muzzle loading adapter has given me another idea...so thank you.

Take care,
Fez
