I've melted down shotgun pellets, its ok for modern handguns, but a little hard IMHO for PRB, unless your using a smoothie, as said.
Is that where steel BB's come fromShot gets harder over time.
Shot gets harder over time.
Interesting. Could you please explain? Does it continue to get harder forever? How hard does/can it get?
Sorry to hear that. Now I sit in a chair watching my deer season slip by me.
The only steel I tried (and I got a duck eventually) was loaded with a card wrap on the short started wad, then the steel, then a card and the lot sent down.Brit Smoothy,Post22. Have you tried steel in bio-cup wads yet.My best flinter has a Steel tube. What do you recon.

I thought all I needed was more vitamin Pb. I was way wrong.
I can give you a great source for lead, cheaper than the going rate, if you run out of free lead. PM me.I cast lead balls for my cannons, and use what scrap lead i can get. they weigh 6 or 8oz each depending on bore size. wheel weights are getting harder to find.
