Howdy folks, Two Feathers here:
I have another Flintlock Pan Primer for sale. The price is $65.00 shipped in a padded envelope. It’s made from an Elk antler tine and has a hand forged staple for hanging. It has a curly Maple cap. It has its natural antler finish that I lightly antiqued. It has a 3 grain charging valve, that’s filled through the body by unscrewing the knurled cap, then carefully removing the cap, plunger tube and spring. I’ll include a tiny funnel to aid in filling the primer. The funnel does NOT fit perfectly, but it sure helps. After much questioning from a few customers, I’ve started checking the Qty. of powder these will hold. I cannot say exactly how much, but I can tell you that all of these primers WILL hold a minimum of 300 grains of FFFFg. MFG’s warning: These priming valves were not meant to be used for any powder other than FFFFg. ?
Disclaimer: I’m told these primers work fantastic with FFg & FFFg also. A number of my customers use these regularly for priming with FFg &FFFg without any issues. But I’m just giving you the valve manufacturer’s warning to avoid future issues. Again manufacturer’s warning: Trying to use these for some different grain size will jam them up and they will not work. That’s BS but I have to make you aware of the mfg.’s warning.
The entire primer measures 6-3/8” long total overall tip to end of staple. The base cap measures approx. 1-1/4” X 1-1/2”. These are ALL approximate measurements with a ruler. It should fit in your shooting bag or pocket nicely or hang from your bag. The curly Maple plug/cap is held on with 8 tiny, solid Brass nails.
This item cannot be shipped to Canada. If interested, please PM me here. As always, thanks for looking.
God bless:
